Dear Sir & R/V/W/Bro/M/E/Comp.,

In view of the novel Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) spreading in more than 100 countries and causing deaths worldwide, the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared this outbreak as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) and a pandemic.

In view of the advisories issued by the Government of India and the State Government and the directives issued by the Grand Lodge of India it is advised as follows:

  1. All engagements of W. The Regional Grand Master are hereby cancelled till further notice.
  2. Regional Grand Master and all Assistant Regional Grand Masters are advised to follow suit, till further notice,
  3. Lodges are advised to issue regular summons to their brethren but avoid holding their regular Meetings. Instead, they must record in their minutes that the Lodge Meeting has been “abandoned” due to outbreak of Corona Virus, Advisories from the Government and the Grand Lodge.
  4. All InstallationMeetings be postponed and fresh dispensation to hold them within 5 weeks under Rule 90 may be applied In calculating the period of 5 weeks, MW the Grand Master, in exercise of his inherent powers under the Book of Constitutions, has waived the time for which Meetings have been kept in abeyance due to the outbreak of Corona Virus and the Advisories issued by the Government and the Grand Lodge.
