Subject: Universal Brotherhood Day 2025 – WALKATHON.

Dear R/V/W/Bro.

As part of this year’s UBD Celebrations, RW Bro Puneet Sohal, RW The Regional Grand Master has directed that a Walkathon be held at all Masonic Centres in the Region as a major event to mark our presence and increase our visibility.

The Walkathon should be organized at a prominent street/square in your city/town which shall be attended by Masons and their family members. Some important dignitaries of the city/town – bureaucrats, senior Army officers, sportspersons, industrialists and media persons should be invited. The senior most dignitary should be invited as the chief guest.

The Walkathon should be flagged off by the senior most Mason of the city/Centre along with the chief guest.

The uniform schedule of the event (all over the Region) is as follows:

Date – Sunday, 22nd June.

Time – 6.30am.

Breakfast – at the completion of the event.

The Centres/Lodges shall make arrangements for the following:

  1. Selection of venue;
  2. Clearances from local police and other Authorities (if required);
  3. Arrangement for drinking water, soft drinks and breakfast;
  4. First aid medical care;
  5. Placards & banners. (Common design shall be provided by the Region. The Centres shall print and fabricate them);
  6. Registration of participants;
  7. Sale and distribution t-shirts and caps. These shall be provided by the Region on payment basis (Rs. 500/- per set of one cap and t-shirt);
  8. Photography and
  9. Media coverage.

RW the Regional Grand Master has appointed RW Bro P K Sharma, Dy RGM (98111 52354), as the Charman of the Walkathon Co-ordination Committee. The ARGM(s) and Lodge in-charges of the Centre shall be the local co-ordinator(s). The city wise list of ARGM’s with contact details is attached for your reference.

Please circulate this message extensively and exhort all Lodges & brethren in your Centre/City to participate in large numbers.
